What’s the difference between categories labels and tags?
Categories are defined by the host and are used to differentiate between different subjects of photos, like Bachelor Party or Flower Girls. A label identifies the main feature of guest-posted picture, like Ocean or Bouquet. And tags name specific people.
What is an event code?
It’s your ticket into an invitation-only event. A message on the join screen will ask you for an event code that the event host will provide you with. You enter the code and you’re in!
How can I delete an event I created?
Just open up the event and select “Remove Album” in the upper right of the options menu.
What’s the best size for my profile picture?
350KB is the optimal file size.
What types of notifications will I receive?
You’ll be notified when a new guest joins the album (though not when people are invited.) You’ll know when new pictures are uploaded, someone makes a comment, or you’re tagged in a photo. Your host will receive a notification if a guest flags a photo for moderation. You won’t receive notices if your host creates, deletes, or shares an album.
Can I set multiple locations for an event?
Happy Snap isn’t set up to do that right now.
Do pictures refresh automatically in the album or the slideshow?
They don’t at this time. You need to refresh them manually by pressing the refresh button. The good news is that this helps conserve data.
How do I join an event?
Look for a button at the top right of the screen. That will give you easy entry.
Can two people co-host an event album?
Only one person can host an event right now.
I logged in but didn’t see my photos. What should I do?
Log in again, making sure you enter the same email address you used when you signed up with Happy Snap. Your app ID is tied to that address. You may have tried to log in through a social media venue registered from a different email account.
Why are my pictures taking so long to upload?
Make sure you have a strong 4G LTE signal, or a very solid and robust WiFi connection before you upload a lot of pictures or videos. If you try to upload more than 5 at a time, it could take as long as 30 seconds to 1 minute. That time lag isn’t actually because of Happy Snap. It’s due to many factors that affect data speed during an upload of high-resolution photos and videos.
Can I upload my photos and videos in the background?
Background uploads are a feature we’re looking into and working on. Stay tuned for our next update!
I added media to an album from my device. It took some time before I saw them displayed and could select them to add to the event album. Why is that?
That time factor depends on how many photos/videos you have stored on your device. If you have more than 1,000 it can take a while to load all of them into your screen.
